I went home for the holidays and felt myself falling back into old patterns. I started off strong by journaling, working out, staying on top of my to do lists, but then everything slowly stopped. I started getting overwhelmed. Between a new job, my own career goals, and endless things I had to get done I got so overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. Rather than just diving in, I jumped out. This is where I decided how I was going to approach 2019.
It is all about the little things. We hear this often, but rarely do we actually implement this sort of mentality into our everyday lives. So many people create New Year’s resolutions but, by February, they’ve trailed off. Why? Because people try to tackle huge, lofty goals and this sudden and drastic change isn’t manageable. Instead, it is vital to focus on setting little goals for yourself. Once they become habit, implement another little goal.
